| 2019 | Started a joint project with New Mexico State University on Sea Island Cotton seed development and quality improvement. |
| 2020 | Research on identification methods for Sea Island cotton and other extra-long staple cottons begins with Shinshu University, a national university, and Kondo Spinning. Research on the identification of DNA sites that control the characteristics of Sea Island cotton is currently being conducted in parallel. |
